With deep sadness, we wish to inform you of the passing of the Defiance County Fair Foundation Executive Director and longtime voice of Defiance County, Jim Stinehelfer. We will always remember his passion for his family, friends, and community. Our intention is to honor his memory and support his family. Memorials may be given to the Defiance County Fair Foundation.

The Defiance Fair Foundation is a 501(c) 3 designed solely to raise funds in support of the Defiance County Fair. our first project is to replace the existing grandstand with a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable one. We invite you to review the materials and learn how you can partner with us in funding this much needed improvement at our County Fairgrounds. Here are some facts for your consideration:
- Over 34,000 admissions at last year's County Fair
- Over 96% of families polled said that the Fair was and always will be an important part of our community.
- Over 800 County families are involved in 4-H, FFA and its fair -related activities.
- There has been a renewed emphasis in year-around use of the Fairgrounds for activities such as Relay for Life, Big Top Circus Events and more.
- All funds are managed by the Defiance Area Foundation.
